The gross revenue of $500k is derived from 632 Individual tax returns with an average fee of $599, plus 40 Entity returns with an average fee of $2,029, an additional 8 Entities that include Bookkeeping with an avg fee of $4,809, and 13 Business city tax filings, SOS filings, and 1099/W2 prep filings. The firm’s current employees will remain with the Sellers and are not available to assist the Buyer. Since clients mainly upload, mail or drop-off their documents for tax return preparation, the Seller’s believe retaining an office in Simi Valley is not necessary. The clients can easily relocate to the Buyer’s office, or a new office within approximately 20 miles of Simi Valley (Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Camarillo, Calabasas, Agoura Hills). The Buyer will need their own staff and office location to assist the clients. The clientele will transition best to an EA, or CPA, with heavy tax experience. This individual, or firm, should also be honest, easy to work with, possess good communication skills and be comfortable working with a large number of clients.
